Obituary for Helen Elizabeth Reiners
Helen Elizabeth Reiner, 87, of Providence died peacefully at the Tockwotton Home, Monday, June 16, 2014.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles J. and Ellen (Moriarty) Reiners. Â She was a lifelong resident of Providence.
Helen worked a secretary at Gorham Manufacturing and later at Beecroft Chevrolet before working as a customer service representative for the former N. E. Telephone before retiring. She was a skilled ice skater and an enthusiast of the sport. Besides loving her family, she loved pets.
She is survived by her niece, Patricia Robishaw of Warwick and nephew Watler Robishaw of North Kingstown, her grand niece, Lisa Palmaccio and her husband John of North Scituate, a sister, Lillian Chapnick of North Palm Beach, Florida and Helen’s companion, Peter DiMeglio. Helen was the sister of the late Anna Berard, Charles and Edward Reiner.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 9:30 am in the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 230 waterman Street, Providence to which relatives and friends are invited. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Church of St. Sebastian, 67 Cole Avenue Providence at 11am. Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (RISPCA) 186 Amaral Street , Riverside, RI 02915
