Obituary for Roger M. Terry Freeman
Freeman, Roger M. III, “Terry”, 71, of Wakefield, died peacefully on June 9. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth T. Freeman of East Matunuck, his sisters, Elizabeth C. Freeman (Roland Coates) of New Ipswich, NH and Marianna F. Richardson (Robert) of Peace Dale, and his sister-in-law, Kelley Freeman of Coventry, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Roger M. Freeman Jr., and his brother, Hayward T. Freeman. After graduating from Moses Brown School and attending the University of Montana, Terry served for 6 years in the US Navy as a missile technician on nuclear submarines. He worked for Johnson and Wales University for 35 years, retiring as Manager of MIS Operations. Terry was generous with his time, always available to help his mother, family members and friends. He enjoyed doing genealogical research and delighted in presenting his family with surprising facts and connections. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Friday, June 19 at 1 PM at the Land Trust Barn, 17 Matunuck Beach Rd, South Kingstown.
