Obituary for Aarne Uustal
Aarne Uustal, 57, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 5, 2016. The son of Tiina Uustal and the late Dr. Uno Uustal of East Greenwich, RI, he leaves behind three brothers and their spouses; Toomas & Diann, Matti & Karen and Heikki & Susan.
Aarne is survived by his loving wife and best friend Denise Mather Uustal, daughter Liia and husband John Deans, son Kyle and wife Darcy and their son Carter Knight Uustal, daughter Victoria, son Marc and his partner Catherine Ciemier. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Aarne is best known for always making people laugh and feel like family. You knew the party could start when he walked into the room announcing his arrival with a loud bellow. An arborist by trade, a nature enthusiast and an avid sports fan, Aarne spent a great deal of his life outdoors with his family.
To honor him properly, an outdoor memorial celebration will be planned for the near future, when the weather turns. For anyone who wishes to pay their respects in the meantime, the family will be gathering in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Greenwich on Saturday, April 9th from 1-4pm.
