Obituary for Virginia E. Flannagin
Virginia E. Flannagin, 91, of Providence, wife of the late William R. Flannagin, passed on Saturday, February 9th.
She was a life long resident of Fox Point and a WWII Navy Wave stationed in Washington, DC.
She leaves 2 daughters and their spouses: Carolyn Beckett and her husband Doug and Debra Medeiros and her husband Joe both of Rumford, a granddaughter: Kelly Dutra Gray and a great granddaughter: Olivia Joyce Gray of Woodstock, GA. She also leaves a son in law John Dutra of Swansea who was the husband of her late daughter, Joyce Dutra.
Her complementary ways and ability to make people laugh will always be remembered by her family, friends and the Staff at Epoch on Blackstone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10am in St Joseph Church, Hope St., Providence. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence. Burial with military honors  will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
