Obituary for Mary E. Rothemich
Mary Rothemich, 81, beloved wife of the late Alexander “Sandy” Rothemich. She was born February 27, 1939 on Hope Street in Providence, and was a daughter of the late Nancy (Dockery) and Robert P. Beagan.
She is a graduate of Holy Name School, Hope High School and Rhode Island Junior College. She was a nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 20 years. She was a past president of the Pawtucket Jaycettes and a member of the Family Council of the Veterans Home Bristol. Mary was a long time Pawtucket resident and a communicant of the former St. Leo the Great parish.
She was the beloved mother of Kirk Phillip Rothemich, Laurie Jean Jordan (Kevin Jordan) Lynn Ann Rothemich ( partner Veronika Schlerf) and Kyle Paul Rothemich (wife Shannon Rothemich). Her grandchildren Kyla Jean Stringfellow, Kyle Patrick Rothemich, Haley Jean Jordan, Kennedy Marie Rothemich and Hannah Jean Jordan were the joy of her life.
She was the loving sister of Katherine Kelley and Margaret Feeney and the late Nancy Miller. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10am in the Holy Name Church, Camp St., Providence. Masks are required and Covid regulations will be in effect. Burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
