Obituary for June M. Lynch
June Marie Lynch, a mother, homemaker and working woman, died May 10, 2021, in Rhode Island. The cause was Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 88 years old. June will always be remembered for her sharp wit and caring heart, her many kindnesses to others, and her knack for lighting up any occasion.

June spent most of her life in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She grew up on the Main Line and then spent some 50 years in the house where she and her late husband Thomas raised their family in a close-knit neighborhood in Audubon. Outside of the home, she worked in diverse roles, in restaurants, real estate, and caregiving. In fact, she cared for Alzheimer’s patients before she, herself, succumbed to the disease.

More recently, June hailed from Hingham, MA, and Providence, RI. In Hingham, she was embraced into her daughter Ellie’s home and the local community, and watched her grandchildren grow. In Providence, she was cared for in her home by five doting caregivers and later died in hospice at Tockwotton Memory Care, whose dedicated staff had kept her safe during the pandemic.

Throughout her life, June was on the go, always asking, “What’s next?” And what came next could be anything from a walk to Louse Point — to tennis, skiing, golf, a new recipe or a glass of wine or two. In a way, she was two people. The one we grew up with and the one who gradually faded from Alzheimer’s. Even then, though, her personality shone through.

June was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Arizini, and sister to Ralph Arizini Jr., Hope Torchiana, and the late Peter and James Arizini. She is survived by two sons, Thomas and James Lynch, and two daughters, Karen Lynch and Eleanor Pariseault, who were at her side when she died. She was grandmother to Meaghan Lynch, Allison Ackerman, Krista Lynch, Sarah June Brennan, Nicole Brennan, and James Pariseault. She recently welcomed her first great-grandchild, Jordan June Ackerman, and enjoyed nothing better than watching videos of “JoJo.”

A private family service will be held on June 19th. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
