Silvia, Josephine, passed away Tuesday at Hattie Ide Chafee. She was the wife of the late Alfred Silvia. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Sousa) DeCosta.
She leaves a daughter, Janet (Ildeberto) Ventura and grandmother to Janet’s children, Sandra, Michele and Diane and a son, Dave (Tania) Silvia, and grandmother to Dave’s children, Dante and Melania. She leaves 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Darling.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10am in Holy Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence to which relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours Monday 5-8 in Monahan, Drabble Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St Providence.
