Smith, Jacqueline O. Smith, 86, died Thursday at R.I. Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman K. Smith.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late Edwin and Agnes (Clark) Olson, she was a Rehoboth resident most of her life.
She was a librarian for the Providence public library for many years retiring 20 years ago.
She leaves a daughter: Lesley Pyron and her husband Douglas, 2 grandchildren Joshua and Caitlin and sister Loretta Auger all of Rehoboth. She was the sister of the late Madeline Hawes.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:45 from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St Domenic Church Rt. 6 (GAR Highway), Swansea. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5-8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to the Providence Public Library, 150 Empire St., Providence RI 02903.
