Obituary for Gail Anne Johnson
Gail Anne Johnson, 64, of Providence passed away Monday April11th, 2011. She was the wife & companion of Arthur Markos. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Frederick B Johnson and Doris (Hayes) Johnson and sister of the late Marybeth Johnson and the beloved mother of the late Adam Christopher Saglio.
Gail spent most of her life in Providence where she was a graduate of Rhode Island College and the Harvard Gradate School of Education. She was an Administrator at Brown University and the Providence Chamber of Commerce. She was devoted to the health and welfare of children.
She leaves one brother Lt. Frederick B.Johnson Jr RISP (Ret) of North Kingstown, and two sisters, Kathy Nelson and her husband Cliff of Deerfield New Hampshire, and Jane Shartenberg and husband Jay of South Kingston. She is also survived by two stepsons, Jonathan of Las Vegas and Matthew of Boston and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service on Friday,April15th, 2011 at 10:00AM ,in the Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Prov. RI 02906.
