Obituary for Roberta M. Beauchamp
Roberta Mary (McConnell) Beauchamp, Â 73, passed from this life on Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home in Southaven, Mississippi.
She was born on February 4, 1940 in Providence, RI to the late Robert J. McConnell and Gladys A. (Green wood) McConnell. Â She was a graduate of Holy Name School, St. Xavier Academy and attended Rhode Island College. She worked many years in the banking industry. She also worked for the US Census Department and performed Longitudinal Surveys. As an entrepreneur, she started her own Market Focus Group business in Fairhope, AL. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and artwork connected to the many areas of the country where she lived. She loved to play tennis and was an avid reader.
She was married to the late Henry Boyd Beauchamp. She is survived by her daughter Courtney and husband Clifton Snell and son Jason Beauchamp and wife Heather. She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Katie and Kenley Snell, along with Amber, Joshua, Julian, Annabelle, Benjamin, Logan and Noah Beauchamp. She is survived by a brother, John T. McConnell of Providence and three sisters: Patricia and her husband Arlon Scott of Louisville, KY; Kathleen and her husband William Nerney of Warwick, RI; and Diane and her husband Albert Cormier of Salem, NH.  Her sister Sharon McConnell predeceased her in 2009. In addition, she leaves three nieces and five nephews, and nine grand nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 25th, at 10am at Holy Name Church in the Lady Chapel, Camp St., Providence, RI. The Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
