Obituary for Isabel B. Skelly
Skelly, Isabel B. Skelly, 94, of Barrington died Saturday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Walter A. Skelly.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Meledy) Â Clark, she has been a Barrington resident for 25 years.
She taught kindergarten in the Foster Gloucester School System for several years.
She graduated with honors from R.I. College. Isabel loved to travel, knit, crochet, cook, sew and read. She also loved to stay up late at night.
She leaves 3 sons; Walter A. Skelly  Jr.  (Serenity) of Cranston, Kenneth J. Skelly (Ramona) of Barrington and James T. Skelly (Ginny) of Plano TX., two daughters: Linda J. Ayres with whom she lived and Susan C. Morrison (David) of Waterford, Ct., 3 granddaughters; Meredith A. Skelly, Joanna Ayres and Julie Morrison, 5 grandsons: Jon, Kenneth and Timothy & Ryan Skelly and Sean Morrison and 7 great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Walter Skelly.  She was sister of the late Mary Morrissey, Catherine Domina and Joseph Clark.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Luke’s Church, Washington Rd., Barrington. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling Hours Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
