Obituary for Robert Pyper
Robert Fendel Pyper, 78 of Rumford passed away on December 19th due to COPD and heart complications. He was the loving and treasured husband of 53 years to Wendy (Wilkerson) Pyper. He was born in Greenfield, MA., son of the late Gordon F. and Ida (Fendel) Pyper.
He was a graduate of Mount Herman School and Brown University. He served in the Army Reserves and then for 37 years worked in the Advertising Department of the Providence Journal, retiring as Retail Advertising Administration Manger. He loved his family, friends, sports, gardening and his country.
Besides his wife, Bob is lovingly survived by his sons, Gordon of Tallahassee, FL. and Andrew and his loving wife Amanda, of Chatham, NJ., his grandchildren Jake, Kenny, Ellie & Lucy, and his brother, Dr. Gordon Pyper of Florida and sister, Dr. Joanna Pyper Wormsbecher of Maryland.
Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial service on Saturday, January 3 at 11am at Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., Rumford.
