Obituary for Sally-Ann Johnson
Johnson, Sally-Ann Johnson, 85, died Monday at St Elizabeth Manor in Bristol.  Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Sarah (Hollis) Allen. She was raised in Marlborough Ma and lived on the East Side of Providence for many years before moving to Touisset 15 years ago.
Sally-Ann graduated from Westbrook College in 1949, then graduated from URI in 1985.
She worked as a Medical Technologist at Rhode Island Hospital for 32 years retiring in 1999.
Sally-Ann was an active member of the First Unitarian Church of Providence and the Touisset Point Community Club. She was an avid hiker, bicyclist, and gardener. She enjoyed music, theater, reading, and tennis.
She leaves a daughter: Claudia Johnson of Touisset, grandchildren: Jessica Corey Johnson Dupont and Samuel Philip Johnson Dupont, and her siblings: William A. Allen, Marion Allen Garfield, Peter G. Allen, and Judith Allen, as well as a dear friend, Thomas Pitts.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm in the Monahan, Drabble, Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence.   A Memorial service will be held at a later date.  Donations in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
