Obituary for Timothy A. Harrison
Timothy A. Harrison, 73, died of ALS peacefully in his sleep on June 12, 2015 in his earthly home and is now in his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
   He was born in Georgia, the son of the late William J. Harrison and Ruth (Donaldson) Harrison. He graduated from North Kingstown High School, class of ‘59. He received a bachelor of science degree from Gordon College, majoring in Christian Education. After graduating, he went to night school learning computers then got a job at Brown & Sharpe where he worked for 36 years. He was involved in church for many years as a deacon, youth leader, Sunday School teacher, sang in the choir, sound /audio /visual board technician, and treasurer. He was a volunteer fireman in North Kingstown and drove busses for North Kingstown schools which he enjoyed very much. Helping people was his passion. He was also well known for his sense of humor.
   He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon L. Harrison, to whom he was married for 51 years. He is also survived by his six children; Cheryl J. Rodriguez (husband Elmer) of Woonsocket, Bonnie L. Schaffer (husband James R.) of West Warwick, Rebecca M. Graham (husband Mark W.) of Pennsylvania, Alicia R. Sherwood (husband Robert A.) of North Kingstown, Jonathan D. Harrison (wife MarjorieA.) of West Greenwich, and Daniel T. Harrison (wife Katherine E.) of Texas; brother David A. Harrison (wife Mary) of Vermont; and 19 grandchildren. We will all miss him.
   A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, at 6:30 pm at Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Road, Exeter , R.I. with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tim’s life.
