Obituary for Natalie Fuqua
Natalie Marie Fuqua of Kingston Ave., Providence died peacefully in her home, a week shy of turning 99 years of age.

She was the wife of the late Ivan Fuqua, daughter of Felix and Helen Kozeski, mother of the late Linda Marie Beaton and the late Judith Ann Perry. Mrs. Fuqua lived at her Providence residence for most of her adult life. Prior to that she lived in Durham, NC and Branford, CT.

She is survived by her loving sons-in-law, Bruce H Perry of Manchester, CT and Robert R Beaton of Annapolis, MD. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, families of; Keri Beaton Peduto of Indianapolis, IN, Cheryl Perry Mincone of Barrington, RI, Kristin Perry Schwarz of Bedminster, PA, Ross Beaton of Plano, TX, Jeffrey Beaton of Fort Collins, CO.

Natalie was a retired teacher from Lincoln School in Providence and co-owner and business manager of the Galilee Beach Club in Narragansett, RI. This endeavor spanned 40 years. She continued her membership throughout her life, walking the beach with friends and swimming in the ocean with family. Natalie was a lifelong learner, traveling with Elderhostel and attending bible study. She was a parishioner at St Sebastian's Catholic Church in Providence.

Natalie graduated with a BA in Education from the University of Connecticut, class of 1938.

Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7pm  at Monahan Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence. The funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations will be sent to: VNA of RI Hospice Program 475 Kilvert St,. Warwick, RI 02886, to the Lincoln School Scholarship Fund, 301 Butler Ave. Providence, RI 02906 or the American Diabetes Assoc. PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
