Obituary for William J. Foxley
Foxley, William Joseph Foxley of East Providence passed away at The
Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island on August 17
at the age of 54.
He is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne “Susu” Cross Foxley and his
two daughters, Mary Eileen “Molli” Foxley of New Orleans and Elizabeth
Grace Foxley of Omaha.
Bill was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1961. He graduated from Colorado
State University in 1986 with a BS in Economics and attended graduate
school at University of Wyoming.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his parents Paula Washburn (Kenneth
Washburn) of Providence and Newport and William Coleman Foxley
(Katherine Foxley) of Saratoga, Wyoming and Indian Wells, California.
He is also survived by his siblings; Caroline Conneen, Anne Kerno,
Matthew Foxley, Susan Foxley, Jennifer Foxley, Sara Smith, Catherine
Cohen, Daniel Foxley and Paul Grimm; his stepsisters, Ellen Martin and
Kristen Covert; 22 nieces and nephews.
Bill was self employed as an Information Technology consultant. Past
positions include; IT consultant for Qlik Tech, IT manager for the
Omaha World Herald, and owner of the Omaha Shutter Company. He
served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps.
He was a member of the Agawam Hunt in East Providence and Spouting
Rock Beach Association in Newport. He was a former member of the Board
of Directors of the Omaha Hearing School and a member of the Knights of
Aksarben Floor Committee. He was also a member of the Omaha Country
Club.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 11AM
at St Joseph’s Church, Hope Street, Providence with a private burial.
