Obituary for Helen L. Jessop
Helen L. Jessop, 97, died Sunday at the Golden Crest Nursing Home in North Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Jessop, Sr. Born in Providence a daughter of the late William J. and Mary (Quigley) Chisholm, she was a Providence resident most of her life. 
Helen was an operator for the former New England Telephone Company and after that worked for many years with her daughter at the Riccotti’s Sandwich Shop in North Providence. 
She leaves a son: Jospeh H.(Elizabeth)  Jessop of Attleboro, 4 daughters: Helen L. (Thomas) Manion of Lady Lake, FL., Barbara A.(Gile)  Arruda of North Providence, Margaret M. (Robert) Hall of Bradenton, FL., and Janice L. (Stephen) O’Connell of Smithfield. Nana Banana also leaves her 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  She was mother of the late Karen M. Geoghegan and  sister of the late Catherine Kenyon, Mary McGowan and Marguerite Newman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held  Friday at 10am in St Augustine’s Church, Mt Pleasant Ave. to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in St Francis Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence. Donations in her memory may be made to Golden Crest Nursing Home 100 Smithfield Rd., North Providence for their activity fund.
