Obituary for Barbara Trifari
Barbara A. (Riley) Trifari , 85, formerly of Barrington RI, passed away Tuesday with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Robert Francis Trifari and the daughter of the late Philip Riley and Elizabeth (Martin) Riley. She was preceded in death by her three siblings: Mary Fox, Phyllis Murray and Edward Riley. She was a graduate of East Providence High School and the Rhode Island School of Nursing. When still vibrant she enjoyed cooking. entertaining. golfing, and bridge. She was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

She was the devoted mother of Philip R. Trifari of Warren, RI and his wife Caroline; Maureen A. Trifari of East Providence, RI; Diane Atkinson of Ashland, Virginia and her husband Frank; Christine Trifari of Northbridge, MA; Lisa M. Trifari of Waltham, MA; and Beth A. Gingrow of Hanover, PA and her husband Alfred. She was the loving grandmother of Robert Atkinson, Paul Atkinson, Emily Gingrow and Mary Gingrow. She also leaves many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10am in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington, RI. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral home, 230 Waterman St., Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Holy Angels Church at 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington, RI 02806 or The Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Avenue, Barrington, RI 02806.
