Obituary for Lee Catherine Niles
Warwick: Niles, Lee Catherine (Quirk), 88, of Namquid Dr., passed peacefully away December 16, 2015 while in Bradenton, Florida. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Donald A. Niles, Sr.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late William and Blanche Quirk. She graduated from Hope High School. She retired from the Polaroid Corporation in 1995 after 25 years. She and Don were avid pilots flying throughout the North American Continent. Nothing meant more to Lee than her family and friends. She was happiest when she was surrounded by those whom she loved. Her sweet nature and kindness endeared her to everyone who knew her. Lee loved laying out in the sun while reading a good book. She enjoyed cooking, flying, traveling and the many friendships she fostered throughout the years.
She is survived by her children: Donald “Donnie” Jr. (Nancy), Donna DiDonato (Jerry), Susan Hollywood, Christine “Chris” Allen (Edward). She was the proud Mimi of eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and the loving Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 9am at St. Kevin’s Church on Sandy Lane in Warwick. Her burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston. Donations in her memory may be made to the Glaucoma Research Foundation.
