Richard Allen Rogers, 72, of North Attleboro, MA died Friday October 11, 2024 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after being hit while riding his e-bike. Born in Framingham, MA. He was raised in Milford, MA and attended Blackstone Valley Regional High School.
He worked at General Electric (Ashland, MA) and Dennison (Holliston, MA). He graduated from Blue Hills Vocational LPN program as valedictorian in 1994. He then worked at The Wrentham Developmental Center from 1989 until he retired in 2010. After retirement, he was very proud to work as a Special Officer for the town of North Attleboro Police Department until July 1, 2024.
He leaves his sons James W. Rogers and his wife Diane of Cranston, RI and Brady A. Rogers of No. Attleboro, MA, his sister Allison Minot of Woonsocket, RI, his grandchildren Michele Rogers, Melissa Todesco and her husband Chad, and Shawn Rogers as well as his two great- grandchildren Charlie-Mae Todesco and McKinley Jaymes Todesco and his sister-in-law Nichole Genter-Winch of Palm Bay Fl. He also leaves his companion Brenda Kennelly. He is predeceased by his Mother Theresa Rodgers and his brother Steven Rogers.
He enjoyed weightlifting, riding sports bikes, the beach and spending time with his sons. He also had a love for watches and collected several.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in North Attleboro, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to North Attleboro Kids Day Association, 5 Allen Ave., North Attleborough, MA 02760.
