Obituary for Catherine R. Olson
Catherine R. "Cathy' Olson, 71, of Williams St., died Saturday at the Eastgate Nursing Home in East Providence. Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gunnard and Madelyn (Lynch) Olson, she lived in Providence most of her life and for a while she lived in Riverside with her aunt.
She was the manager of the store T W Rounds in Wayland Square shere she worked for 17 years. After that she worked for the former Fleet bank.
She had a love for cats, especially “Grady”. She loved playing Bingo, doing crosswords, Sudoku and was an avid reader.
She leaves many cousins.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St Joseph Church, Hope St., Providence. Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery.
