Obituary for Carl Stephen Dubose
Carl Stephan Dubose passed away at the age of 70 on May 18th, 2018. Born on July 1st, 1947 in New York City, the son of late Emogene Dubose Smith, mother, and late Alexander Dubose, father. Alongside his late brother, Eugene Dubose, grew up in Providence and proudly graduated from Hope High School. During the Vietnam War, he showed his devotion for others by serving in the US Army where has was decorated with the Army Commendation Medal as part of the combat aviation battalion division. Later Carl went on to work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a supervisor. On his free time Carl was an active member of the St. John’s Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island where he served as an Acolyte. Family and friends was life to Carl, who had an enormous heart. He is survived by his aunts, Althea Brown and Theresa Burton, and uncle Richard Lawson. Cousins Denisa Lawson, Alycia Lawson, Richard Lawson Jr., Sheylon Lawson, Anthony Lawson, and Brittney Lawson.
