Beatrice (Betty) M. Paiva, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday November 14, 2023. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Francis and Irene (Perry) Nunes. She was the wife of the late Edward Paiva.
She is survived by her daughters Kathleen A. Simas and husband Kevin of Providence, Lynn M. Rose and husband LeRoy of Lincoln, brother Edward Nunes of Cranston and sister Carol Rovinski of Cranston, and granddaughters Lyanna and Lauren Rose.
She was the mother of the late Dennis R. Paiva and the sister of the late Joseph Nunes and Francis Nunes.
Her greatest pleasures were attending the theatre with her daughters and going to outside concerts. She also loved spending her summers at the beach and staying on Great Island where she enjoyed her seafood and lobster meals.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
