Obituary for Constantine (Dean) Nicholas Costianes
COSTIANES, Constantine Nicholas (Dean), age 87, a resident of Bristol for 42 years, died at Phillip Hulitar Hospice Center on October 23rd. He was the beloved husband of Marty Costianes for 54 years, the father of Layton Risley and the late Robin Risley and the grandfather of Nicholas Risley, Zachary Highsmith and the late Kristen Vine and brother of the late Dr. Elias Costianes. Born in Franklin, PA, he was the son of the late Nick and Panayiota Costianes. He was a graduate of West Virginia University and a US Army officer. He worked as an engineer for the Martin Co. at White Sands Proving Ground and Florida, LTV in Dallas TX and retired from Raytheon, Portsmouth. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Bristol where he sang in the choir, and served as a member and chairman of the Board of Trustees, and on the By-Laws Committee. For many years, he gathered his crew and served Mother's Day breakfast to our church family. He was a member of the Bristol Interfaith Choir and the Seekonk Lions and served as Bristol treasurer for Ken Block's campaign for the formation of the Moderate Party. A life well lived; a man so loved.

Dean ends his life of service by donating his body to Brown University for the advancement of medical science. A Memorial Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th, at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 281 High St., Bristol. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dean’s memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of RI,1085 No. Main St. Prov. RI 02904 will be appreciated.
