Danby, Mary Katherine “Mary Kate”, 38, of Rumford passed away Friday at Philip Hulitar with her family by her side.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Mary Ellen (Woodmancy) Danby of Rumford and the late B. Timothy Danby.
Mary Kate was a graduate of Bay View Academy and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting / Two Dimensional Studies at University of Mass at Dartmouth. She was a loving, caring and artistic woman who was loved by all.
Besides her mother, she leaves 2 aunts, Dianne Danby Belbeisi of Ammam, Jordan, Danita Smith of Seminole, FL, and uncle, Nelson Weed of Rockville, KY. She was the niece of Bonnie Weed.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 210 Taunton Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10am. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 4-6pm. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Margaret Church or to the Church of the Holy Name.
