Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Mallardo
Anthony R. “Tony” Mallardo, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017, with his family at his side. Born December 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Peter and Annette (Grenier) Mallardo. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille Desiderato and Judy DiGiovangiacomo.
Tony was the devoted husband of Gloria D. Mallardo (Fruscella) and they were in their 58th year of a loving marriage. He was the devoted father to Cindy A. Gabriel (Mallardo) and her wife, Lisa and Cheryl A. Fonseca (Mallardo) and her husband Douglas. The other loves of his life were his grandchildren, Lia N. Mallardo, A.J. Gabriel, Jillian L. Stevens (Fonseca) and Cara J. Fonseca.
He hand a long career at Ciba Geigy Corp. and in his retirement, enjoyed watching sports, being with his cherished family and being the funny and sweet man people loved so dearly.
Tony was a Veteran of the Korea War and will be buried at Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
