Obituary for Norman Arvid Jones
Norman Arvid Jones, 53, of Westerly passed away peacefully at the Westerly Hospital, Easter Sunday, April 12th after a battle with liver cancer. Born in Rockford, IL on October 20, 1966, he was the son of Janice Whelan and the late W. Norman Jones.
Norman was an old soul with a bog heart, loving and caring. He was willing to help in anyway he could to make others happy. Norman’s passion was cooking and he always wanted to have his own restaurant.
He loved to make people smile with his social charisma. He knew so many in the Westerly community and his family will be forever grateful to the W.A.R.M. Shelter for all they provided to him for the past 8 years.
Besides his mother Janice he is survived and sadly missed by his sisters Karen Swenson, Sonia Blazensky, Susan Swenson and brothers Steven Swenson and Raymond Jones.
Cremation occurred on April 14th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to the W.A.R.M. Shelter Inc., 56 Spruce St., Westerly, RI 02891
