Obituary for Jean Sternberg
Jean Sternberg, of Bayspring Avenue died Oct. 26th at Brialcliffe Manor. She was the wife of the late Frank A. Sternberg.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Corey) Brady. Jean was a secretary for the Barrington Public Schools before retiring in 1990. She was a Scout leader for both Boy and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed summers at her family home on Martha’s Vineyard. She was a communicant at St. Luke’s Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Heidi Forte, and her husband Ernest, a son, Eric Sternberg and his girlfriend, Rosemary Simao, both of Cranston. She leaves 3 granddaughters, Melissa and Jesse Sternberg and Alexis Forte.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington at 10am. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Tuesday from 5-8pm.
