Obituary for Ruth Ellen Davis
Ruth E. Davis, 92, formerly of Rumford died Wednesday at the Hallworth House in Providence. She was the wife of the late F. Perry Davis, Jr.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late W. Howard and Violet (Lynch) Goodman, she was a Rumford resident for over 65 years and a longtime resident of Palm City, Fl.
She was a former member of the Wannamoisett Country Club, the Harbor Ridge Yacht and Country Club in Florida, the Rumford Garden Club and the Handicraft Club. She was a long time member of Newman Congregational Church.
She leaves 4 daughters; Ellen Kinsman of North Attleboro, Nancy Tsonos and her husband Charles of Rumford, Jane Geary and her husband Frank of Warwick and Judy Davis of Rumford as well as 7 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hallworth House Activity Fund, 66 Benefit St., Providence RI 02904.
