Obituary for Neva Foley Hantover
Neva Foley Hantover, 93, died October 4, 2016, at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, comforted by the love of her family, the support of friends, and the loving care of the staff.
Born in Rochester, New York, Neva was the daughter of Catherine Gillett Foley and John Lester Foley. She is survived by her sister Marjorie Winkle and Marjorie’s husband, Marshall, daughters Marilyn (Mare) Davis and wife, Monica Shinn, Catherine (Kate) Davis Whitfield and husband, Richard, her step-son Michael Hantover, and grandchildren Cody Hammond, Casey and Anna Whitfield, Joshua Davis, and Lindsay Judkins Cervantes. Aunt Neva will be sadly missed by her nieces and their families. A son, Jeffrey Alan Davis, husband Jerome Hantover, and former husband, Reverend Alan J. Davis, died previously.
All of her life Neva was an artist. She exhibited and sold her jewelry at shows in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island and continued to create jewelry and collages until the last months of her life.
A memorial service will be held at Tockwotton on the Waterfront later in the month.
