Obituary for David Gorman Louttit
David G Louttit., 32, a project manager for Parker Construction Company died suddenly at home on Tuesday.
Born in Boston, MA and raised in Medfield, MA he was the son of Robert S. and Lisa (Gorman) Louttit of Portsmouth, NH. He had lived in Pawtucket for 4 years previously living in Providence for several years.
He was a graduate of Medfield High School, Class of 2002 and attended Goucher College in Baltimore and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
David spent many enjoyable summers and weekends at his family's lake cottage. No one could make a jet ski do what David could. And he was a winter enthusiast too, always the first one to put on the snowshoes. David loved both cooking and eating well. It was hard to find a restaurant in the Providence area that David couldn't provide a review of. But his work at Parker Construction was both his profession and his avocation. There was nothing he enjoyed more than making a difference on the projects he managed with the whole Parker team. One of the projects he was particularly proud of was the Audrain Building, in Newport.
Besides his parents he leaves his brother Kevin T. and his wife Hollie R. Louttit of Duxbury, MA and his sister Kathryn M. Louttit of Portsmouth. He also leaves his grandfather Richard T. Louttit and his wife Eugenie W. Louttit of St Augustine, FL and his Grandmother Janice M. Gorman of Methuen, MA and was uncle of Christian A. Louttit of Duxbury. He was grandson of the late Walter A. Gorman and Carolyn M. Louttit.
A Remembrance Service and Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday September 24th at 5 PM, at the Audrain Building, 222 Bellevue Ave., Newport, RI. Donations in his memory may be made to Hope for Depression Research Foundation at hopefordepression.org
