Obituary for Shirley A. LaFazia
Shirley A LaFazia, 86 of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.
Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta (Volpe) Carrier. She was the wife of the late John A LaFazia. She is survived by her loving family and dear friends.
Shirley enjoyed taking care of her home, cooking, trying new restaurants and new recipes. She was known as a great listener. In earlier years, she liked travelling and taking long walks on the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
At Shirley’s request, her body has been donated to The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University with the hope of helping others.
She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society in Rhode Island.
