Ronald Leo Dupuis, 71, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, surrounded by his family after a period of declining health. Ron (as he was known to his family and friends) was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts. Over the years he lived in many places including Portsmouth NH, Medway & Millis MA, and Tombstone & Sierra Vista AZ before spending his final year living with family in Bellingham, MA.
He spent much of his working life as a Union Carpenter, but did live his dream of self employment as an entrepreneur for several years before finishing his career as a carpenter. In his youth, he played football and hockey. He was an exceptional golfer, avid Boston sports fan, and lived one day at a time for the last 39 years of his life.
Ron is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Janice Marie (Rodrigues) Dupuis of Fall River, Massachusetts. He leaves his children Angelina (Dupuis) Correia and her husband Joseph Correia of Grafton, Massachusetts, Eric Leo Dupuis and his wife Megan (Galipeau) Dupuis of Bellingham, Massachusetts, and Veronica Dupuis of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He also leaves his six beloved grandchildren, Joseph Ronald, Evelyn Grace, Ellinor Lillian, Xavier Leo, Samuel Jean and Lydia Noëlle. Ron is also survived by his uncle Robert “Bobby” Jean of New Orleans, nephew Derek “Hammer” Dupuis and niece Erika Dupuis both of Fall River.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Wilfred J. Dupuis, mother Rita J. (Jean) Dupuis and brother Robert Dupuis.
A memorial will be held on Sunday February 23rd, from 10am to noon at the Thayer Homestead, Medway MA. Family and friends are welcome to gather and share memories during this time, and there will be light refreshments after.
