Robert F. “Terry” Peck, 82 of Chace Ave. died Sunday at Hope Health Hospice Center. He was the husband of Karen (Davenport) Peck for 32 years. Born in Providence a son of the late Austin and Prudence (Smith) Peck, he was a Providence resident most of his life.
He was a social worker and owner of PeckCare Management Co retiring in 2021 and prior to that had worked for DCYF, the Department of Health and the City of Cranston. He was a member of NASW, RI Chapter and received their lifetime Achievement Award.
He was a 7th generation graduate of Brown University and a longtime member of the Squantum Association.
He leaves his children: Marguerite Foster Peck of Acworth, NH. Jennifer Leyden of West Greenwich, Matthew Peck of Providence, Samuel Peck of Warwick, Westcote Peck of South Kingstown, Sarah Roque of North Attleboro, Phoebe Peck of Lincoln; He also leaves 18 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a sister Patience Peck of Narragansett. He was father of the late Amanda Choiniere. He was the former husband of Susan Peck of Rumford and Constance Chesebrough of Pawtucket.
A memorial service will be held in the Redwood Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery on Friday at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Amanda Choiniere "Bee Kind" Fund at Adoption R.I., 290 West exchange St. Suite 100, Providence, R.I. 02903.
