Obituary for Patricia Davis Cooper
Patricia Davis Cooper, 73, of Groton, CT, formally of North Stonington, CT. passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 50 years of the late Dr. Richard A. Cooper.
Born in Providence, RI on July 20, 1939, she was predeceased by her parents, Hope Watson Davis and George Cundall Davis. She attended Wheeler School in Providence, RI and was a long standing member of The Dunes Club in Narragansett, RI. Patricia enjoyed boating, traveling, shopping, family traditions and had a love for horses.
Throughout her life she worked in early childhood development and volunteered her time for a variety of organizations. Among her greatest contributions was her dedication and unconditional love and support she provided to family and friends.
She is survived by her four children, Christopher G. Cooper, his wife Roza, Jeffrey G. Cooper, his wife Tammy, Wendelyn D. Cooper and Catherine W. Cooper, and her husband Michael Poulin. She was the proud grandmother of four, Jae, Abigail, Martin and Bryan. Â She was the sister of Audrey Davis Trowbridge. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1pm in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd, Providence to which relatives and friends are invited. In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Camp Davis, Camp Davis Road, Charlestown, RI 02813.
