Obituary for Michael J. Dziob
Michael J. Dziob, 72 of Wayland Avenue passed away peacefully Sunday at home. He was the long time companion of Peggy Keegan.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Dr. John S. and Violet (Spence) Dziob. Michael was a graduate of Providence College earning his BA and Masters there. He was a former financial executive for Ratheon and Augat, and was the former owner of the Deli Lama in Warren. He was active in the formation of the karate movement in RI, holding a black belt.
Besides his companion, Peggy, he leaves close friends Lorraine Dalesio and Todd and Matthew Steely of Warren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8am in the Monahan, Drabble & Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 am in St. Sebastian Church, Cole Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectively omitted. Donations in his memory may be made to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation, PO Box 442, Needham, MA 02494.
