Obituary for Maureen Sheehan
Maureen Sheehan, 84, of Everett Ave., died Wednesday at the Hope Hospice in Providence.
A lifelong Providence resident, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marguerite (Sullivan) O’Brien.
Maureen was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy and Brown University. She received a Master’s from Rhode Island College. She was a Guidance Consular at Classical High School for many years retiring just a year ago. Prior to that she was at Nathan Bishop Junior High.
She was a member of the Faculty Club at Brown University, the RISD Museum and the Providence Athenaeum.
She leaves her son; Christopher Sheehan of Providence and was sister of the late Janice Tate and Francis O’Brien.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home, 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Sebastian Church, Cole Ave. at 10am. Calling hours. Tuesday 4-7pm. Donations in her memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
