Obituary for Maria Fermino
Maria "Bibia" Fermino, 93 of Pawtucket, RI.
Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Before coming to the US she was a stay-at-home mom where she raised her own children and numerous other children in her neighborhood. She came to the United States in 1976 to make a home for her daughters. She worked at School House Candy in Pawtucket until she retired, but her true passion was being a mother, grandmother, and follower of the teachings of the church.
She is survived by her daughters Eugenia Burgo and Maria Carvalhal. Sons-in-law Domingos Burgo and Jorge Carvalhal. Grandchildren Julio Burgo, Sandy Derevyanko, Jeffrey Carvalhal, Richard Burgo, Jennifer Caldwell, and Jordan Carvalhal. Great-grandchildren Larissa Derevyanko, Luke Burgo, Dariya Derevyanko, Warren Caldwell, Atticus Burgo, Sebastian Carvalhal, George Caldwell, and Elinor Burgo.
The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9:45 from the Monahan, Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St Raymond's Church, North Main St. Providence. Calling hours Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:30 to 8:30pm. Burial will be in Mt St Mary Cemetery.
