Obituary for Margaret T. Henry
Plainville, MA: Henry, Margaret T. Henry, 83, died on Sunday, May 22 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after a courageous health battle. She was the wife of Joseph A. Henry for 62 years.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Kelly) Falvey, she was a Plainville resident since 1955 and summered in Kennebunkport, ME for the past 50 years. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's School and Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1950.
She had worked as a secretary for the RI Development Council at the RI State House and prior to that for the Providence Washington Insurance Company.
A military wife of a 30 year Navy veteran, she was also active in the Plainville Girl Scouts as a Brownie leader, consultant, and town cookie chairman. She also volunteered as the librarian at the former Plainville Elementary School and had been head of their PTA. She was a communicant of St. Martha's Church in Plainville.
She was an avid reader and loved to cook and tend to her flower gardens but most important to her was her family. She was a woman of courage, faith, and grace and will forever missed.
Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter: Deborah A. Henry of Plainville. She was the sister of the late John J. and Barbara A. Falvey.
