Margaret (Cummings) “Peggy” Perkins, 80 died peacefully Monday surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Earl P. Perkins, Jr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Cummings, she lived most of her live in Providence and summered in Matunuck and Narragansett. For the last 10 years she lived at the Scandinavian Home Assisted Living in Cranston.
Peggy attended St Sebastian School, Mary C Wheeler School both in Providence and Mt St Mary Seminary in Nashua, NH. She was a communicant of St Sebastian Church.
She leaves her daughter Emily P. Spear and her son in law Richard E. Spear and two cherished granddaughters, Jane M. Spear and Kate A. Spear. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who particularly enjoyed her good humor. She was predeceased by her husband and siblings: Jane C. White, Robert Cummings, Mary C. Chatterton
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Sebastian Church, Cole Ave. Burial will be in Mt St Mary Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Scandinavian Home Assisted Living Community, 50 Warwick Ave. Cranston, RI 02905.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Sebastian Church, Cole Ave. Burial will be in Mt St Mary Cemetery.
