Obituary for Linda C. Larson

On March 3rd Linda Larson, age 77, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Mindy Pedersen, her nephews Brian and Brandon, nieces Shelly and Brianna and grand nephews Andrew, Michael and William, as well as numerous relatives in Norway and Michigan. She was predeceased by her parents Tobias and Margaret Pedersen, her daughters Karen and Kelly, her sister Diane and brother David. She enjoyed playing cards with her many close friends, doing jigsaw puzzles and knitting. She spent much of her free time attending yard and estate sales, as well as frequenting thrift stores in search of bargains. She worked as a secretary for many years prior to retiring from Rhode Island Hospital in 2007. At that time she moved to CT to provide daycare for Brandon and Brianna until they reached school age. Upon moving back to RI she remained a large part of their lives and will always hold a special place in their hearts. We would like to thank Linda’s many friends who constantly visited and comforted her during the last stage of her illness, especially Sue, who was by her side assisting Hospice and providing Linda with a loving, caring environment in which to spend her final weeks. Linda donated her body to Brown University so there are no funeral services scheduled. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
