Judith A. Speyer, 93, a long time Providence resident died Sunday at the Steere House in Providence. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Miriam (Perlman) Speyer.
Judith was a 1956 Graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada and earned a M.A. from the R.I. School of Design.
She taught in the art Department of Providence Country Day School for many years till retiring. Prior to Teaching at Country Day she was an associate to the Chaplin at Brown University from 1962 to 1968. She was a member of the Way of the Dragon, RISD Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Providence Atheneum and served as a docent at the RISD Museum, She was a student of Tai Chi from 1995 to 2005.
She was the twin sister of Jay Robert Speyer.
A private service will be held in the Memorial Grove at Swan Point Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made the Providence Country Day School.
