Joseph H. Plante, 81, of Burrillville, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Born on February 26, 1943, he was the son of the late John Plante and Clara Muheim Plante.
Joe was a welder by trade and worked in the structural steel industry. He was a member of Wallum Lake Rod and Gun Club and his favorite place to be. He also was an NRA member for many years. He was also a former Marine and loved reading military stories and the history of the mafia, shooting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie Therrien Plante and sons Joseph H Plante Jr., Jeffrey M. Plante and wife Angela Labine Plante, Granddaughters Amanda L. Plante, Kayla A Plante, and Allie Plante, and great granddaughter Lana Olivia Taychak.
Joe was predeceased by his sister Barbara A. Hession, son John G. Plante, and former wife Theresa Marie Levesque. Joe donated his body to Brown University for the education of medical students. There will be a celebration of life at some time in the future for the family.
