Obituary for Joseph C. Grant
Joseph C. Grant, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket died August 13th. He was the husband of Constance C. Grant and son of the late James I. F. and Mary I. (Gallagher) Grant. He served in the Navy in World War II. He worked in the trucking industry for 45 years, retiring in 1996.
He was a communicant of St. Raymond’s Church, Providence, and a member of the St. Raymond’s Leisure Group. He was Past President of the Woodlawn Little League.
He leaves a daughter, Deborah A. Grant (James), of Narragansett, RI, and two sons, Joseph D. Grant (Margaret), of Warren, VT, and Christopher J. Grant (Simone Le, and the late Carol Darling), of Medfield, MA, and a sister, Rosamond R. Keough, of Johnston, RI. He was the brother of the late Mary E. Cronin, James I. F. Grant, Jr., and Thomas R. Grant. He leaves seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 9th at 9am in St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main St. Providence, RI. Burial will be in the RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Donor Care Center, PO Box 758541, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
