Obituary for Joanne D. Attenberger
Joanne Attenberger, 87, of Pawtucket, RI, formerly of Greensburg, PA, passed peacefully at Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence, RI September 28, 2021. She was proceeded by her parents Charles & Myrtle Dillion and devoted husband of 46 years Raymond Attenberger.
She is survived by her loving daughter Pamela House, son and daughter-in-law Raymond & Lorranine Attenberger, adoring grandchildren Natasha & April House, Katie & Craig Rutmayer and Rachel Attenberger and cherished greatgrandchildren Derek House and Benjamin Rutmayer. Joanne also leaves behind her sister and dearest friend Lougene Whiteman and brother Walter Dillon.
Joanne was an active member of the Methodist Church, and avid gardener, and loved baking with her granddaughters and great-granddaughter. Her pies and pumpkin rolls were legendary. Joanne enjoyed going to the Leon Mathieu Senior Center in Pawtucket, trips to the beach and traveling.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 9th at 10am in the Historic Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd. Providence. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her honor.
