Obituary for Jane E. Kling
Jane Ella (Stewart) Kling, 95, died peacefully at home on October 21, 2017 with family members by her side. She was the beloved wife of 72 years of Julius W. Kling.

Born on May 8, 1922 in East Paterson, NJ she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. and M. Louise (Van Blarcom) Stewart.

She attended public schools in Ridgewood and Haworth, NJ and graduated from Dumont (NJ) High School. After completing training at Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing, she was commissioned ensign in the Navy Nurse Corps and served for the duration of WW II.

After moving to R.I. in 1951 she was an avid cook and gardener while raising her family. She was an active member of the Central Congregational Church for over 50 years and volunteered much time to many community organizations including the League of Woman Voters and Women of The Brown Community.

She leaves 4 children; Katherine L. Winter Kozlowski (Alfred), P. Ellen Jost (the late Franz), William S. Kling and Andrew A. Kling (Laurie Heupel), two Grandchildren: Scott F. Winter (Heather) and Elizabeth J. Winter McLauthlin (Andrew) and three great granddaughters. She was sister of Ann Cunningham (the late Donald) and the late John Stewart (the late Ann)

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday December 9, 2017 at 10 AM in Central Congregational Church, 296 Angell St. Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 603394, Providence, RI 02906.
