Obituary for Jane Carey
Carey, Jane, 82, of East Providence died Tuesday at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Langton) Carey, she has lived in East Providence since 1975.
Jane was a Religious Sister of Mercy and later taught as a professor of English and Psychology Â
She leaves her brother and sister in law Francis E. Carey and Ethel A. Carey of Bristol, her sisters: Nancy Perry of Sagamore, MA and Sr. Winifred Carey RSM of Cumberland. She also leaves Fedra, Cristina and Bryan Dawson who were like children to her, several nieces and nephews , God Children and cherished friends. Â
She was the sister of the late Rita Carey Masi, William J. Carey and Anita Carey and sister in law of the late Joseph Masi and Jeremiah Perry.,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am in St Joseph Church, 92 Hope St., Providence. Calling hours Friday 4-7pm in the Monahan Drabble Sherman Funeral Home 230 Waterman St., Providence, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Joseph Church.
