Obituary for Helen V. Piekarski

Helen V. Piekarski, 83 of Johnston passed away Saturday at Philip Hulitar in Providence. She was the wife of the late Albert Piekarski.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helena (Sliwka) Nieratko.

She was an assistant for Dr. Angelo J. Bigelli, D.P.M.for many years before retiring,

Helen enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband Albert, and then traveling and shopping with her sister, Josephine (Joey) Boffa

She was the mother of the late Richard Piekarski. She leaves two sisters, Josephine P. Boffa and Victoria A. Paliotta, nieces, Jacqueline Ann Boffa, Michele Paliotta and Danielle Paliotta and nephews Michael Paliotta, Paul W. Boffa, Jr. and David Boffa, Jr., and two grandchildren, Damian Gaglia and his wife Melanie, and James Gaglia.

In keeping with her wishes, Helen donated her body to the Warren Albert School of Medicine at Brown University for medical advancement.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11 am in St. Adalbert’s Church, 866 Atwells Avenue in Providence to which relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904
