Cowen, Frank  of Providence passed away on July 14th. Mr. Cowen raised his family in Buffalo, NY. While there he was the president of W. Bergman Co., the New York state distributor of Philco-Ford products. He retired many years ago and spent his retirement in Palm Beach, FL. He moved to Rhode Island in 2007.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Edith, to whom he was married for 65 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Claudia Mills and her husband, Robert, of Providence. Frank was the loving grandfather of Jackie Mills of New York and Lee M. McGrath of Oak Park, IL, and the great grandfather of Thomas Miles McGrath. His sister, Theodora Speser of Providence survives as well. Frank’s daughter, Wendy Cowen, predeceased him in 1991.

Funeral arrangements will be private. The family will sit shiva at the home of Claudia Mills on Sunday from 7-9 pm.
