Obituary for Fae Best Carletti
Fae Best Carletti of Rumford passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the age of 76. Fae was born in New Tazewell, TN, to Herschel and Fae Ruth Best. She is survived by her son Matthew Carletti, daughter Joy Carletti (Colin McCarthy), grandchildren Zachary and Julia Carletti, siblings Michael Best (Gloria), Janice Bright, and Dianne Sutter (Wayne), and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill (Karlene).
Fae worked for the Visiting Nurses Association for many years and for Brown University for over a decade. She read cookbooks like they were novels and could always tell you a great way to cook a dish; even if she’d never done it herself - Ina Garten had! Fae collected interesting pieces of blue and white china and had a great love of musical theatre. Her greatest joy, however, was doting on her grandchildren and her dogs.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Monday November 5th in the Historic Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd. Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rhode Island SPCA (https://rispca.com/)
